STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Liz Sheridan, an actress who famously played Jerry Seinfeld’s mother on “Seinfeld,” died Friday morning, according to multiple media reports.

Sheridan died at her home in New York City of natural causes, her manager told CNN. She was 93. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law.

Sheridan’s credits also included stints on Broadway and in film.

She appeared as the neighbor Mrs. Ochmonek on the TV sitcom “ALF.” In 1971, she made her Broadway debut in “Frank Merriwell,” and she also shared the stage with Meryl Streep in “Happy End.”

Sheridan’s other TV appearances included “Family Ties,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “Melrose Place” and “American Dad.”

At the time of her death, she’d been working to develop her book, “Dizzy & Jimmy” which chronicles her relationship with a young, pre-stardom James Dean, into a film.

Sheridan’s death comes less than two weeks after the death of fellow “Seinfeld” cast member Estelle Harris, who played George Costanza’s mother on the show.
