Former Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor reacted to today's statement by the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, and asked which politicians in Croatia, as he claims, did not want Montenegro in the European Union.
"The Montenegrin president says that the problems, the open issues between Montenegro and Croatia, did not arise during his time, so he is not responsible. Montenegro did not even join NATO during his time, so there you have it. And that some former members of Croatia did not want Montenegro in EU. And which one," she wrote on the social network X.
At today's press conference, together with his Croatian colleague Zoran Milanović, Milatović assessed that official Zagreb can help Montenegro a lot on its European path, but that this was not the case before.
"Many politicians who lost their support in Croatia did not really help our Montenegrin path, on the contrary, they did everything contrary to the acceleration of our European membership, and I conveyed this during the conversation to President Milanović, hoping that the official Zagreb will additionally be favorable towards the acceleration of our the European way," said Milatović.
