Same for me, a54 draining faster before the update. No overheating though.
I hope the next patch will fixed this. I had been charging my phone more open now. :(

I'm a long time iPhone user who decided to switch to Android, because my iPhone was getting boring and stale... I chose the A54 5G to try, and with a few tweaks it's much snappier than my previous phone... I've had no problems thus far with Android 14 and One UI 6.1... Runs smooth and the battery life excellent... 4 years of Android and 5 years of security updates... I have to admit, I'm very impressed.

Im from a52s(almost 2years of usesage) with same SND778g as M52 and I dont see much differences between a54 on daily usages+ almost same FPS on games like genshin etc on one ui 6.0 (a52s do have slightly better thermal control tho but not much on prolonged playtimes..)
yours could be defective or there could be software glitch after update too(p.s. since I gave a52s to someone else before one ui 6.1 came out dont really know how a52s perform on new software btw..)

The hardware is trash, and by hardware I mean the Exynos + Mali trash. Coming from an M52 5G. This phone is a downgrade, only upgrades I am getting is the software updates. Otherwise? Unreliable. Overheats, inconsistent performance, a lot of statturs and drop in the FPS while switching between apps and the UI in general, I used to like Samsung, I'm now reconsidering Android phones to begin with. Too many shenanigans and looking up hardwaelre and you'd also get a trash hardware.

And with PUBG I get 6hrs+ screen on time on smooth+extreme (60 FPS) settings

Damn, it's ok, performance could be a little better for the price that I paid in my country + the battery life it's horrible, I can't get more than 3 hours out of it, doesn't matter how I use it. I really love the design and the cameras
Phone's age: 1 Year and 1 month
BTW, the battery life problems started since oneui 6.0, with oneui 5 it was good, like really good sometimes I had times where I got 7 hours and 30 minutes

I sent the same exact message/complaint on the samsung app "members", from my tablet and I was told that it was related to the software update and I should take it to a samsung store but I'm in school and there none near by...till I get home

(Update from India) UI 6.1 update drained the battery a lot. The latest May Security update (3 days back) has fixed the battery drain issue. The phone is performing as it used be, according to me it is good.
If May security update is not released in your country, then better wait for it, before taking the 6.1 update.
If May security update is delivered along with 6.1 update, then you are good to go as well.

I got my samsung A54 September 2023 and by may 18th it just stopped charging, took it to a phone fixing company and they verified that my charging port was all good and it may be a problem associated with the specific brand. Like why? My battery isn't swollen or anything, it also never showed any signs before. It just stopped charging all of a sudden.
