Keeping Call Ducks is very similar to keeping other ducks but because they are small they do have a few special care requirements. Here are my top 3 must haves for any call duck coop- 1. Water- Like all ducks Calls need water to drink and to swim in. I use a large water pan that is deep enough for them to swim in. You can also use rectangular plastic containers. Just make sure it’s easy enough for them to get in and out of. The water should be cleaned often as the ducks will drink it and stagnant water will harbor disease. I clean ours out 1-2x per day. 2. High quality feed- since Call ducks tend to be more delicate, they need a good quality feed. I use @Scratch and Peck Feeds organic layer pellets or organic layer mash. They love both! Scratch and Peck Feeds are a special blend of cracked organic grains, organic flax meal, and select vitamins and minerals sourced from North American farms. 3. A safe coop- since Call ducks are so tiny, a safe coop is an absolute must! Make sure they have a place to go into to nest or get away from bad weather. I hope you find this reel helpful!
