Limnophila aromatica

Limnophila aromatica is less common in the hobby than the more flamboyant looking L. huppuridoides, but still an interesting, worthwhile aquarium plant in its own right. Depending on the variety, it can be very variable, but is almost always less red than L. huppuridoides. Limnophila aromatica typically has 2-3 (sometimes a few more) leaves per node. As its name would suggest, it gives of an aromatic scent when crushed, and is sometimes used as an herb in Asia. It requires god light, supplemental CO2 and good nutrition to remain healthy in the aquarium.
