FM firm Grosvenor Services is to continue and expand its contract with Westfield London, Europe’s largest retail centre.
The complex in White City contains more than 400 shops, restaurants and entertainment venues, and draws at least 30 million visitors a year.
Grosvenor Services has supplied cleaning services to the centre for the past five years, with at least 230 members of staff based there. Now, with a deepened focus on health and safety post-pandemic, this contract will be expanded to include new machinery to maximise the cleaning operation and ensure that all new equipment is sustainable and environmentally friendly.
The firm will also run the waste management operations in partnership with Veolia.
Jacinta Rowsell, general manager at Westfield London, said: “The comfort of our guests and standard of hygiene levels is of utmost importance and I have no doubt that the Grosvenor team on-site will continue to offer the best service levels with sustainability at its core – something that is key for Westfield London and our customers.”
Lindsey McKendrick, key account manager at Grosvenor Services/Westfield London, added: “As we rebuild post-pandemic, it’s so important that people feel safe when getting back out there to do their shopping, have a meal with friends, go to the cinema, and so on. Ensuring a great experience for customers and keeping people safe has always been a core value of ours and a key component of the services that we offer, and it is a value that the team at Westfield London also share.”
