Westfield London’s luxury Village receives multimillion pound investment

Westfield has announced a multi-milllion pound investment into its Westfield London shopping centre in Shepherd’s Bush to expand the luxury shopping quarter, known as The Village.

The undisclosed cash injection will see a number of stores expand, new luxury names open and existing retailers relocate to larger spaces.

Versace will increase its presence to three stores in Westfield London including two new stores in The Village for its Versace (1,370 sq ft) and Versus Versace (5,326 sq ft) ranges. The Versus Versace store will be the first permanent store for the range in the UK.

Three French fashion brands, Sandro (1,357 sq ft), Zadig and Voltaire (1,462 sq ft), and Claudie Pierlot (824 sq ft) will be opening their first stores in the area from autumn 2015. They will also be joined by Jigsaw (1,872 sq ft).

Whistles, which is already located in The Village, will open a larger store later this year.

In a statement, Westfield said improvements to The Village will run throughout 2015 with further new stores to be announced later this year.
