Zoya’s Summer 2010 Sparkle Collection is something I ran, no…correct that, sprinted for, when I saw it online. Glittery, shimmery polishes? Yes, please! This collection is a total knockout, and I have to honestly say that this collection has really impressed me. In fact, this collection is so gorgeous that I want to just get right to the swatches. So,
- Charla is a mermaid blue green shimmery glitter. That is quite the mouthful! This shade reminds me of Sephora’s “Mermaid To Order,” which is a favorite polish of mine, only with chunks of gold, silver, green, and blue glitter in it. This polish has a duo-chrome effect to it as a result, reflecting turquoise at some angles, and blue at others. Simply breathtaking.
- Alegra is a bright magenta pink that has a squishy, jelly base to it. It has pink and white shimmer to it, and looks extremely shiny and pretty on the nails. I don’t typically love magenta polish, but this is one I can get down with.
- Mimi is a royal purple with tons of shimmer and glitter, in a jelly base. I really don’t have to say much about this color because I believe you all know my obsession with purple by now. This color makes me feel all warm and tingly inside!
- Gilda is a bright, girly, bubblegum pink…yet another Barbie-esque shade. This shade has the same type of flecks like Alegra has, and it is simply gorgeous. I am typically not a huge pink polish lover, since I have trouble finding shades I love, but this one does it for me. It’s extremely shiny, and will look great against a golden tan!
- Ivanka is similar to Charla in terms of its chunky, very noticeable golden glitter. It also has a duo-chrome effect to it, and has to be one of most gorgeous greens I own in my collection. Also, major kudos to Zoya for having a sense of humor and naming a green “Ivanka.”
- Nidhi is a reddish, burnt orange color. I didn’t think I was going to like this one against the other colors in this collection, but it was a surprising stunner. It has golden microglitter and the warm tone to it makes me think of the colors you would see in an Indian Sari. Just strong, opaque, bright, and gorgeous.
Overall, the formula on these polishes varied slightly. I found most of the polishes to be a bit on the sheer side, and they needed 2-3 coats to look more opaque and rich. However, wearing these polishes sheer would be just as gorgeous. The most pigmented shade was Nidhi without a doubt. The overall application was pleasing, and you simply cannot beat how stellar these colors look on your nails.
The Zoya Summer 2010 Sparkle Collection is available at eNailSupply for $6.99 a bottle, or $39.95 for the entire six piece collection. You can browse the collection at the eNailSupply website.

I should be getting Alegra any day now from the Zoya polish exchange. Very excited!!! I almost got Charla, too, except I already have OPI Absolutely Alice, and I am afraid they are too similar. ???????

Hi 16units2go! Absolutely Alice and Charla are very different – Absolutely Alice is a very chunky, dense glitter (a bit darkened with the darker chunks of glitter in it, as well). Charla is exactly like “Mermaid To Order,” only with glitter/shimmer to it. Charla has the most gorgeous flashes of blue and green to it. In fact, I will go ahead and swatch the two side by side for you and send it to you on Twitter now! 🙂

Here is a comparison, with Absolutely Alice on the pointer and middle finger, and Charla on the ring and pinkie.

Hope this helped a little bit!

Charla reminds me of China Glaze’s Dorothy Who? I think I’m gonna buy a few of these colors, and the Poolside colors I told you I loved too 🙂
Why do you do this to me?! I want to buy everything you review! 🙂
